Harmonia is seeking a smart and self-motivated Network Engineer with a broad understanding of technologies to lead technology modernization efforts at a major agency.
This role offers an opportunity to develop, support, and advance cutting-edge technology supporting our nation's defense services. Employees work closely with the government to develop solutions.
TS/SCI security clearance is required at the time of hire.
Applicants will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within our facilities.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain information system components within Government-owned facilities.
Provide technical analysis in data network planning, engineering, design, and implement techniques to improve the network.
Conduct network evaluations, critical item tests, and support integration, development, and operations.
Coordinate with stakeholders to define requirements and test procedures for network systems.
Understand hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as switches, routers, firewalls, etc.
Apply knowledge of OSPF, Static Routes, VLANs, ACLs, Multicast, PIM, QoS, etc.
Integrate enterprise applications with interconnected systems.
Provide escalation support and develop/implement network security solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues.
Document network configurations and procedures.
Stay current with networking technologies.
Train and mentor junior engineers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
At least 8 years of experience in system administration.
Understanding of DevOps principles and network security solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
