The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $182,820 - $242,178.20.
Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Production Operations team. As Director-Logistics, you'll be crucial in ensuring continued innovation and supporting our diverse team. The Global Logistics, Warehouse and Transportation Director is responsible for leading and optimizing the company's global logistics, warehousing, and transportation operations. This role ensures transformational change of warehousing with cost-effective, efficient, and compliant movement of materials, components, and finished goods across global markets. The Director will drive strategic initiatives to enhance supply chain agility, minimize risks, and improve service levels while ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Leadership and Execution Develop and execute global logistics, warehousing, and transportation strategies that align with overall business objectives. Identify and implement best practices to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance delivery performance. Establish KPIs, reporting mechanisms, and performance dashboards to measure operational effectiveness. Lead initiatives to optimize distribution networks, inventory management, and fulfillment processes. Oversee global trade compliance, customs regulations, and cross-border logistics to mitigate risks. Warehouse and Inventory Management Define, champion, and manage stakeholders to implement automation and technology solutions to enhance warehouse productivity and accuracy. Align inventory management methods with business needs. Lead global transportation strategy including carrier selection, contract negotiations with sourcing, and freight optimization. Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and freight forwarders to enhance service levels. Oversee domestic and international logistics ensuring timely and cost-effective shipments. Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to proactively adjust transportation strategies. Financial and Cost Management Develop and manage global logistics, warehousing, and transportation budgets. Identify cost-saving opportunities through network optimization, process improvements, and vendor negotiations with sourcing. Ensure financial accountability by tracking cost performance and implementing corrective actions as needed. Leadership and Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team. Foster a culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement within the team. Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of staff ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. Provide thought leadership and direction to the logistics team staying abreast of the latest tools and technologies to continuously improve S&C's global function. Job Requirements (minimum): Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (Master's Degree/MBA preferred) CLTD Certification (Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution) 15+ years of experience in global logistics, warehouse, and transportation management within a manufacturing environment. 7+ years of leadership experience within a Supply & Logistics function. Demonstrated experience in Logistics Data Transformation Leadership including WMS/OTM. Experience building and optimizing warehouse management methods including EPLs. Strong understanding of scaling global logistics, transportation management, and warehousing. Trade compliance, customs regulations, and logistics risk management. Excellent leadership skills with an ability to lead, guide, motivate, and delegate to deliver results, build teams, embrace change, drive decisions, and exhibit integrity. Superb organizational, planning, and project management skills, coordinating internal and external resources, creative problem-solving, and managing diverse projects. Exceptional interpersonal skills for building trust and resolving conflicts. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening, presentation) for liaising with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent business acumen and analytical skills to analyze data and drive decisions. Excellent consultancy skills to advise at all levels and implement new strategies. Ability to travel as required. Major Physical Demands:
