LMI is seeking a

Data Scientist

to support a U.S. Federal Government Agency working with classified media. This position involves collaborating with developers, architects, and data scientists to build new capabilities, applying innovative solutions to complex problems. Responsibilities include querying and structuring data, developing machine learning models, creating metrics and visualizations, and deploying visualization products to web environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technology background, the ability to structure data for reporting, and skills in presenting complex results clearly to users. Gather and process raw data at scale using statistical packages (e.g., R, SAS) and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Scala); Develop performance metrics, conduct statistical analyses, and apply decision models to solve business challenges; Query databases with SQL and perform statistical analysis; Familiarize with machine learning algorithms and advanced statistical methods, including regression, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.; Use critical thinking to apply machine learning capabilities to complex business situations; Create dashboards and data visualizations using tools like Tableau; Strategically publish data visualizations and present analytic results; Support business decisions through ad hoc analysis. Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience with data sources from industry, academia, IC, military, or scientific communities; 3 years of experience in discovering, organizing, and structuring data with advanced analytic techniques; 3 years of experience with Python, R, or similar languages, developing and evaluating algorithms; Experience in advanced analytics such as social network analysis, geospatial analysis, and data visualization; Experience in data manipulation, report writing, and creating briefing materials; Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required. #LI-SH1 Equal Opportunity Employment
