Project Engineer
to join our team. Reporting to our Test Systems Manager, and you will have a 9/80 schedule and a hybrid work option in Torrance, CA. Responsibilities: Oversee technical, cost, and schedule performance for development programs. Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses. Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports. Set the direction for the technical engineering team, coordinate a team of designers, drafters, analysts, technicians, and manufacturing engineers. Proposal volume development and costing support. Be the main technical contact for the customer. Occasional travel to support customer meetings and business development needs.
Desired Skills and Experience: Familiarity with Fault Management design and architecture development. Strengths in controls system design. Experience in Requirements Management, Verification and Validation Methods, and/or Integration and Test. Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, and dSpace hardware for system performance and real-time modeling. Experience in the aerospace industry. Experience with project planning, scheduling, and resource loading; experience with MS Project. Understanding of EVMS fundamentals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. A minimum of 6 years' experience in design/development engineering, or a Master's Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science Degree in Engineering. Experience in the aerospace/defense manufacturing industry. Experience leading technical teams or projects.
