This Software Engineering Manager opportunity is in the Global Product Representation Services (GPRS) product line which is part of Order Fulfilment Product Group. GPRS is responsible for developing products and services supporting the Global Order to Delivery (GOTD), eCommerce, Digital Marketing/B2C systems, and FordPro, providing data and services for product configuration. We are adding a Software Engineering Manager skilled in Microservices, Java, Spring, and Google Cloud. In this position, you will... Design and deliver industry-leading products and services to maximize value for customers. Provide product and technical leadership to the team. This is a hybrid position in Dearborn, MI. Qualifications You'll have... Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, including development and leadership roles. 5+ years with Java, Spring, Microservices, Angular, within an Agile framework. 5+ years leading teams. 6+ months experience with Google Cloud Platform and OpenShift CAAS. Even better, you may have… Master’s Degree in related fields. Ability to operationalize and assist teams with abstract technology concepts. Experience with cloud services and platform knowledge. Proven ability to develop highly technical services. Experience with Lean methodology & eXtreme Programming. Understanding of API economy and solutions. Strong collaboration, decision-making, leadership, and communication skills. Awareness of SRE principles. Provide thought leadership for the development, structure, technology, and tools within GPRS. Lead Software Engineering Excellence practices. Implement CI/CD processes and development methodologies. Assess technology feasibility for product roadmaps. Innovate with an iterative, agile, user-centric approach. Collaborate to reduce complexity and enhance interoperability across services. Communicate technology and product strategy clearly. Identify and mitigate risks to product delivery. Prioritize platform backlog based on business priorities and technical feasibility. Work with product teams to plan and deliver platform capabilities. Monitor product health and drive continuous improvement.
