Section Leader and Senior Traffic/ITS Engineer
for our traffic engineering group in downtown San Diego. The ideal candidate will have a proven career in traffic engineering, transportation planning, ITS, and emerging traffic technology issues. You will work on projects like the LAX Program Management, LA Metro, OCTA, Riverside County On Call, and other transportation projects for agencies such as SANDAG, City of San Diego, Caltrans D11, and NCTD. Primary responsibilities include: Overseeing traffic operations analysis and traffic management system plans Providing guidance on traffic design and ITS projects Collaborating with team members on multi-modal transportation projects Serving as a technical expert in traffic engineering Possibly serving as project manager on larger projects As a
Traffic Engineering Section Lead , your duties will involve: Managing staff, project profitability, quality, and marketing support Leading project production and management Handling administrative responsibilities and coordinating with other sections Participating in marketing, proposals, and client engagement Ensuring effective project planning and control Supporting company policies and staff development **Required Qualifications:** Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience At least 7 years of relevant experience Professional registration or certification as required Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Commitment to our employee-owned culture Our Values and Benefits HDR values collaboration, trust, and community engagement.
