The Accreditation and Regulatory Consultant is responsible for providing expert guidance and support to ensure institutional and programmatic compliance with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws. This role supports strategic initiatives related to accreditation, reporting, and program development, serving as a subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholders. The position reports to the Associate Vice President of Academic Compliance. Minimum Qualifications At least 5 years of experience in accreditation, compliance, or institutional effectiveness in higher education or healthcare. Deep knowledge of accreditation standards, state approval agencies, and regulatory frameworks. Experience in developing self-study reports, preparing for site visits, and navigating complex regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multiple accreditors (regional and programmatic). Experience as a peer reviewer or accreditation evaluator. Knowledge of state regulatory processes. Bachelor's degree. Strong technical writing skills. Ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities Accreditation Support
Advise leadership on accreditation matters. Develop and review reports and documentation for accreditation processes. Lead or support site visits and readiness assessments. Assist in applications for program changes and new campuses. Research for program development and expansion.
Regulatory and Compliance Support
Guide on state authorization and compliance. Ensure alignment with relevant regulations. Support policy development for compliance. Research for program and location expansion.
Data and Document Management
Evaluate data for reports. Recommend systems for documentation and deadlines. Analyze effectiveness indicators and suggest improvements. Produce necessary documents and reviews.
Training and Communication
Provide training on accreditation and compliance. Present findings to leadership and committees.
Physical Requirements
Remain stationary for 50% of the time. Occasionally move around the workspace. Operate office equipment. Use voice and hearing to communicate. Visual assessment and observation. Occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
