Senior Software Manufacturing Process Engineer
Our Danfoss Power Solutions facility in Minneapolis is seeking a Sr. Process Development Engineer to join our team! This position supports our new product design efforts through the development of manufacturing and test systems, creates and improves processes within the team, and ensures adherence to all processes. As part of a project team, you will collaborate on product design with an emphasis on manufacturability to fulfill the lean manufacturing objectives for electronic assemblies like joysticks, controllers, displays, and sensors for off-road equipment. The pay range for this position is $99K-$123K. We are seeking local applicants only, as this position does not support visa sponsorship or relocation. Job Responsibilities
Lead development of process controls and functional tests in the LabVIEW programming environment. Recommend new technology including AI, VR, robotics, light-guided assembly for improving manufacturing quality and efficiency. Develop and maintain product configuration tools. Apply knowledge of embedded and application software to understand requirements for production. Lead design of production cells for new product introductions, including automation, testing, and packaging. Develop and approve specifications and implement processes for assembly and testing of new or revised products, including training team members and evaluating results. Design, develop, test, source, and cost-justify tools, machinery, and equipment for manufacturing methods. Consult with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase according to standards. Prepare project documentation, including diagrams or layouts. Provide project status reports to teams, management, subcontractors, or customers. Background & Skills
Required: 4+ years relevant experience, software development skills (LabVIEW, Python, C#, C++), knowledge of database architecture, experience with SVN or similar, expertise in communication protocols (CAN), ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills in English, and informal leadership abilities.
