What You'll Do in This Role:
The Physical Therapist evaluates, assesses, plans, organizes, and administers rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform and document an initial exam to assess patient data, identify problems, and establish a diagnosis prior to treatment. Review physician referrals and patient medical records to determine the required physical therapy treatments. Conduct tests and measurements to evaluate the patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory or circulatory efficiency, and document findings. Design and implement individualized physical therapy programs aimed at maintaining, improving, or restoring physical function, alleviating pain, and preventing further physical dysfunction. Set specific treatment goals, track progress, and outline plans for reevaluation. Administer manual exercises, massage, and traction to relieve pain, improve strength, and prevent deformities or disabilities. Continuously evaluate the effects of treatments and adjust interventions as needed to ensure maximum benefit. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and home care routines to promote continued recovery. Collaborate with patients, medical practitioners, and other relevant parties to develop, implement, and assess the treatment plan. Maintain clear and professional communication with patients, both in person and over the phone. Record the patient's prognosis, treatment plan, progress, and response in medical records, either manually or via computer systems. Ensure compliance with all professional, ethical, and legal standards related to patient care. Ability to perform job duties in-person and via phone communication. Adequate visual acuity to perform job functions, including examining patients and reading information from printed sources or computer screens. •
What You'll Need:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. At least 1 year of experience as a physical therapist. Current Physical Therapist state license. Excellent verbal and written communication. Position requires the ability to lift and move objects, weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance.
