The Psychologist is responsible for the care of patients in the hospital and clinics, as well as research, educational, and advocacy initiatives as determined by the Director. Qualifications
Minimum Education Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) from an APA-accredited program, including all pre- and post-doctoral training. (Required) Required Skills/Knowledge Knowledge of current principles, methods, and interventions for psychological services, including diagnosis and treatment in the area of expertise. Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for psychological care. Ability to evaluate patient problems independently and develop care plans. Ability to incorporate ethical concepts into patient care and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to supervise, advise, and train professionals and students. Commitment to quality and safety standards. Ongoing professional development in subspecialty. Required Licenses and Certifications Licensed Psychologist in Washington, DC, fully credentialed at Children's National Medical Center. (Required) Functional Accountabilities
