The Systems Administrator will be responsible for installing, supporting, and maintaining servers and workstations in a client/server environment. The System Administration will provide Tier I and II level support, this position is responsible for maintaining and operating IT Support in a military systems environment. The Administrator must work in a proactive fashion and perform the duties necessary to mitigate the disruption of services, responding to outages and resolve problems quickly. Responsibilities: Maintains and manages the IT server and systems infrastructure Manages and troubleshoots Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and Domain Name System (DNS) Manages Microsoft operating systems Windows Servers, both legacy and current Manages and troubleshoots messaging protocols and operations with Microsoft Exchange, both legacy and current Writes scripts in PowerShell, LUA, etc. Experience with SCCM/SCOM Manages system backups and administer virtual environments Provides support in the deployment and configuration of servers and workstations Analyzes, troubleshoots, and configures hardware and software Performs systems performance diagnoses and scalability assessment activities Applies industry best practices in compliance with security and DISA guidelines Develops and maintains network documentation, such as topology diagrams, circuit/equipment inventories and configuration reports Troubleshoots hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues Performs and implements appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures Serves as escalation point for desktop and service desk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office Required Qualifications/Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience (preferably in Information Technology, Information Management, or Cyber Security). Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in computer systems Must have a valid Security+ Certification or higher Must have a MCSE, MCSA, or MCSD certification Must have minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 24/7 military or governmental IT environment Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent Strong knowledge of systems software, hardware, and networking protocols Experience with scripting and automation tools A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy, plans, and SOPs Strong knowledge of implementing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols Experience in Ports Protocols and Security Measures Demonstrated ability to provide an outstanding customer service experience in a variety of circumstances across all organizational levels Must have a NACI (Public Trust) and be able to acquire and maintain a Secret clearance.
