Field AI
2.91 Software Engineer: Thermal Intelligence & Mapping
Field AI, Mission Viejo, California, us, 92690
Field AI is transforming how robots interact with the real world. We are building risk-aware, reliable, and field-ready AI systems that address the most complex challenges in robotics, unlocking the full potential of embodied intelligence. We go beyond typical data-driven approaches or pure transformer-based architectures, and are charting a new course, with already-globally-deployed solutions delivering real-world results and rapidly improving models through real-field applications.
As a Software Engineer, you’ll design and implement cutting-edge thermal perception systems that enable autonomous robots to interpret and map heat signatures with precision. Your work will help identify structural defects, detect energy inefficiencies, and enhance situational awareness in mission-critical applications. You’ll be at the forefront of multi-modal sensor fusion, AI-driven anomaly detection, and real-time thermal SLAM, making robots smarter and more adaptive to their environments.
This role is ideal for engineers passionate about thermal imaging, AI-driven perception, and robotics. If you’re excited about turning heat maps into intelligent insights, advancing real-time mapping, and building the future of thermal intelligence, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
