Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP is seeking a transactional attorney with six to eight years’ experience in affordable housing policy matters and affordable housing development and financing transactions, including negotiating and drafting loan documents, ground leases, regulatory agreements, easements, and related documents for multifamily developments. Experience with first time homebuyer programs, construction documents and commercial leases is a plus.
The pay scale for associates at Burke ranges from $140,000 – $215,000 plus annual performance-based bonuses. The actual salary within that range will depend on the selected candidates’ years of practice and experience.
The firm offers a hybrid work arrangement option and an annual telecommute budget to support remote work. The firm’s billable hour requirement is 1850. Attorneys receive competitive health insurance benefits, a 401(k) with a partial match, and are eligible for annual discretionary and billable hour bonuses.
Burke is committed to a culture of inclusion. New associates are assigned to an “Associate Buddy” to assist with their transition to Burke. Burke’s pro bono program affords attorneys opportunities to contribute in ways which are most meaningful to them both personally and professionally by giving associates billable credit for up to 40 hours of pro bono work.
Burke also supports attorneys’ business development goals by providing each associate with a yearly budget for attendance at continuing legal education and conferences.
