Position Summary Ogletree Deakins’ San Francisco office has an exciting opportunity for a mid-to-senior level motivated associate interested in handling cutting-edge labor and employment litigation matters involving a broad range of interesting, high-profile clients and topics.
Depending on the interests and experience of the candidate, the attorney will focus on defending clients in single and multi-plaintiff actions (in court and arbitration), defending employers in class and PAGA employment litigation, investigating and responding to administrative charges, and advising clients on a host of employment-related matters. This position offers opportunities to develop legal skills in a collaborative environment, handling challenging employment issues, with direct contact with clients and court appearances. Additionally, candidates will have opportunities to advise on California employment law, including employee handbooks, policies, and training.
Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered in accordance with the Fair Chance Ordinance.
Requirements
Juris Doctor, licensed to practice law in California, in good standing. At least 3 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably California-specific; civil litigation or trial experience is a plus. Excellent analytical, writing, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task; passion for client service and practice development. Strong academic background.
Benefits Salary range in California: $220,000 - $287,500, based on experience and other factors.
