About the Team

The AWS Hardware Engineering team develops server designs for Amazon’s web services, emphasizing frugality and operational excellence. Our engineers tackle challenging technology problems and create high-quality components critical to AWS's success and customer satisfaction. We value innovation, ownership, and the ability to work across the full technical stack—from hardware to userland software. Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineers across AWS to deliver next-generation platforms. Own and improve system architectures, diagnosing and fixing issues proactively. Decompose complex system problems into manageable tasks and lead their execution. Utilize hardware, software, and system design knowledge to ensure reliability and scalability. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of programming experience in modern languages (e.g., C++, Java, Python). 4+ years of professional software development experience. Experience designing and architecting scalable systems. Systems development experience in IT or data center environments. Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments. Experience in systems design, automation, and process improvement. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years scripting experience (Python, Bash, Perl).
