Job Summary: The PLC Programming Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to enhance productivity and ensure stable operations. This role involves analyzing production issues, providing technical recommendations, and improving the overall manufacturing environment.
Duties & Responsibilities: Program, debug, and repair PLCs for welding robots. Design schematics for PLC devices when necessary. Perform routine maintenance, safety inspections, and system troubleshooting. Maintain and support computer systems in both production and office environments. Set up and integrate new equipment and machinery for product launches and upgrades. Provide technical support to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency. Test and verify connections between PLCs and other industrial equipment. Collaborate with various departments to achieve production goals, including efficiency, cost control, and product quality. Document procedures and maintain technical records. Requirements: Skills & Qualifications: Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages (e.g., Function Block Diagram). Understanding of industrial automation principles and best practices. Proficiency in electrical and electronic troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of machine operations. Experience with computer applications and networking protocols. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience & Education: 0–3 years of experience in the automotive industry preferred. Technical degree or certification in automation, electrical engineering, or a related field is a plus.
