The Director of Client Service is a key part of their leadership team. This role has three important functions:
Leading and mentoring the account service team. Managing all new business efforts, both organic and net new. Fostering strong, profitable growing agency relationships with our existing clients.
Our healthcare clients include medical devices, medical technology, and healthcare services brands. Our clients are largely focused on HCP advertising, with some patient-facing initiatives. A successful Director of Client Service will not only have proven experience and expertise in account strategy, production and traditional and emerging media, but will demonstrate a true passion for the work of the agency and our client's business. The Director of Client Service manages a team of account supervisors, account executives, and account coordinators across multiple lines of business. Yet, the Director of Client Service stays close to the work, mentoring our team in a player-coach capacity. The Director of Client Service must be a dynamic, likable leader who can be persuasive and compelling in client presentations. Candidates should be friendly, ambitious, detail-oriented, and have a passion for all things advertising.
Responsibilities
Oversee the account services department. Manage, mentor and motivate account services team. Provide leadership that conveys the vision and values of the agency. Ensure account services team is delivering work to the highest level of quality - on time and on budget Lead the account team in developing and implementing new systems and processes that achieve agency goals Work with the creative and strategy teams to develop campaign, promotional, and brand strategies. Truly collaborate across all agency departments to drive integrated thinking and communication solutions that are aligned with the client's goals. Maintain expertise on the client's business, wider industry trends, and cultural influences. Leverage strategic marketing expertise and knowledge of the client's business issues to guide client relationships. Make agency recommendations on growth and expansion opportunities for the brands we steward. Develop strong relationships with key client leaders across various lines of business Captain the RFP response process and lead the development of strong, compelling agency proposal presentations Develop large-scale SOWs and negotiate agency contracts. Integrate contract requirements with agency operations. Work with the account services team to maintain detailed revenue forecasts.Monitor project management software on an ongoing basis to ensure profitability and shift client management strategies with insights gained. Match new clients to the proper account service team and manage the successful onboarding of new business. Develop and defend budgets and agency recommendations, leading clients to explore new opportunities for their brand. Keep other leadership team members informed of the status of accounts, challenges, plans and important initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of marketing experience. Experience at an advertising agency is non-negotiable. Experience in B2B healthcare or in a similar highly regulated environment. Bonus points for candidates with strong HCP or med device marketing experience. Excellent writing skills. Experience in managing a team.
