For over 50 years, our client has provided critical programs in housing, energy assistance, early childhood education, and community development. They are seeking a strategic and hands-on CFO to lead financial operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance leader passionate about making a meaningful impact, ensuring financial sustainability, and driving positive change in the communities they serve. Responsibilities
Financial Oversight & Clean-Up – Lead financial clean-up efforts, assess current systems, and implement improvements to ensure compliance and efficiency. Team Development & Leadership – Clarify roles and responsibilities within the finance team, recruit and onboard key personnel, and ensure the team can scale effectively. Accounting Policies & Internal Controls – Develop and document financial policies and procedures, particularly around cost allocations, ensuring consistency and compliance. Board & Stakeholder Reporting – Prepare and present accurate monthly financial reports to the Board, improving financial transparency and decision-making. Operational & Compliance Projects – Oversee initiatives such as transitioning financial records into a CRM and ensuring compliance with nonprofit regulations. Training & Capacity Building – Provide guidance on uniform grant guidance, payroll processes, and payroll allocations to strengthen financial knowledge across the organization. Qualifications
