Description

Are you a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse ready to step into a leadership role? We're looking for an RN Supervisor to oversee and elevate clinical services in our dynamic family medicine practice! In this vital role, you'll provide hands-on patient care while ensuring an efficient workflow of our back office team at the Santa Monica Family Health Center, an outpatient primary and specialty care clinic. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performing patient assessment, care, and education to pediatric and adult patients in a clinical/urgent care setting

Supervising and training clinic nursing staff Working closely with physicians to manage patient care; triage phone and in-basket messages for providers

Collaborate with the Practice Manager and Clinical Director to ensure seamless clinical operations Planning and adjusting staffing to meet operational needs efficiently

Responsible for the management of the Quality Assurance and audit process; responsible for ordering clinic supplies and medications Salary Range: $124,600-$289,400 Annually

Qualifications

Required:

3 years of acute care, urgent care or ambulatory clinic

pediatric

experience 1 year of supervisory experience Knowledge of the Pediatric and Adult patient population and practice operations Current California RN license

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Possession of current BLS from the American Heart Association or Red Cross Knowledge of all aspects, procedures and medication administration in an urgent care or ambulatory setting Excellent phlebotomy and IV skills Ability to assume direct involvement and provide backup support during clinic emergencies and in patient related problem solving Experience and knowledge to accurately screen and triage acute patients Knowledge and experience to recognize abnormal laboratory values and respondSkill in performing with frequent interruptions and/or distractions including the ability to accept equivocal circumstances and respond and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Ability to maintain equanimity in the face of resistance, indifference and hostility

Preferred:

Possession of PICC line certification

Knowledge and skill in central line catheter management and access

Skill in usage of medical diagnostic equipment, as well as working knowledge of instruments and supplies required to perform necessary blood tests and procedures

Working knowledge of the UCLA registration system, appointment scheduling system and order entry system

Proficient in Point of Care testing
