The ideal location for this role is East Hanover, NJ, but remote work may be considered for certain states. Remote employees are responsible for home office expenses and periodic travel to East Hanover, NJ, as required by the hiring manager. This role is one of three Oncology Director Product Lead positions in hematology. The Insights and Decision Science (IDS) team aims to enhance decision-making at Novartis through data and advanced analytics, generating actionable insights to support business growth. Reporting to the ED, Decision Science Product Lead, this position is key in enabling proactive, insight-driven decision-making for the brand, addressing business challenges, shaping strategy, and implementing decision science within IDS capabilities. Key Responsibilities
Shape the brand's strategic direction using insights to identify opportunities and challenges. Integrate insights from across IDS functions to provide comprehensive, actionable recommendations. Participate in IPST discussions, contributing data-driven insights and challenging existing strategies. Help craft the brand narrative for senior leadership and IPST meetings. Act as the primary strategic partner for the IPST and GM, driving brand performance narratives. Collaborate with the IPST Lead to refine analyses and insights. Lead the IDS POD at the product level, synthesizing information to drive brand performance. Share insights with the IPST, challenging current thinking to foster innovation. Support insight generation throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with brand goals. Translate large volumes of analytics into actionable strategies. Ensure high-quality, robust insights through pressure-testing and validation. Combine performance and predictive analytics to explore and address business issues. Qualifications and Experience
Seeking candidates with extensive pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience, deep understanding of product lifecycle management, market dynamics, and regulatory environments. Proven success in brand performance management and strategic planning, with leadership skills to manage high-performing teams. Minimum of eight years’ experience in the industry, with expertise in brand and product lifecycle management. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Data Science, or related; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Strong background in therapeutic strategies, early-stage asset planning, and experience with established and launch products. At least 5 years’ expertise in analytics, data science, market research, or related strategic analytics. Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and influence cross-functional teams. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with senior leadership.
