Position Description Summary
The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates ( MFA ) is seeking full-time academic pulmonologists to join the growing Division of Pulmonology/Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. The MFA is an independent, non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University and is part of a large academic health center located in the heart of the nation’s capital.
These positions are expected to begin as early as February 1, 2025.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
Physicians will deliver inpatient and outpatient care to pulmonary patients at GW/ MFA . They will also participate in the academic and educational mission of the division. They will also participate in the division’s academic and educational missions.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be board-certified or eligible in Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine and must be licensed in the District of Columbia at the time of appointment. Applicants must also have a record of providing excellent clinical care, research productivity, and clinical teaching experience, as demonstrated by experience, publications, evaluations, and/or references.
Advertised Salary:
$276,700 to $400,400
Other Benefits
These non-tenure track appointments will be made at a rank (instructor/assistant/associate/full professor) and salary commensurate with experience. Full benefits package available including professional malpractice coverage, time off for approved CME , a Professional Expense Account, retirement benefits, etc. The MFA also provides generous health and other benefits, details of which can be found at
