Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, detail-oriented, and talented individual for the position of Network/System Administrator II.
Job Description
Summary: The Network/System Administrator II primarily supports Special Access Programs (SAPs) for Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, including HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Military Compartments. The role involves providing daily support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Install, maintain, audit, and support a secure MS Windows network environment and limited web/data application services.
Maintain internet applications and protocols such as IP, TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and SSL.
Manage file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems, and documentation.
Provide IT support to local customers and troubleshoot system issues.
Analyze and resolve system anomalies to optimize performance.
Perform maintenance, hardware upgrades, firmware updates, and configuration changes.
Conduct scheduled tape backups and manage data backup libraries, including off-site storage.
Participate in planning and requirements meetings with IT staff, program managers, and customers.
Prepare systems for operational use and support operational testing.
Provide technical guidance as needed.
Requirements
3 to 5 years of related experience.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience (4 years).
Must meet DoD Directive 8570.01-M certification requirements for IAT Level 2 within 6 months of hire.
Security Requirements
Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Eligibility for access to SAPs.
Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence Polygraph.
Skills
Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 R2, Exchange Server 2003/2010, Windows 7/10, and related hardware.
Understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, data backup, and communication security (COMSEC).
Familiarity with Risk Management Framework, Common Criteria, and Security Policies.
Experience with PL1 & PL2 systems; cross-domain solutions experience is a plus.
Knowledge of current security policies and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently with initiative and creativity.
Willingness to travel within the AOR, including both air and ground transportation.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Physical and Communication Requirements
This position requires sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, squatting, standing, and walking. Excellent customer service skills, and proficiency in English communication are essential.
