This Software Engineering role supports Device42, recently acquired by Freshworks in June 2024. Device42 provides a real-time view of an organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring comprehensive asset management. Combined with Freshservice, it enhances IT Asset Management (ITAM) capabilities, offering greater value to customers by streamlining IT management and optimizing business performance. We seek a passionate and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering Support team. You will collaborate with Customer Support, Product Management, and Feature Teams to investigate bugs and customer inquiries. Your primary responsibility will be developing and delivering high-quality backend code to resolve issues, providing immediate value, and improving customer experience. If you are an experienced developer with expertise in Python (Golang is a plus!) and enjoy solving complex bugs by diving into intricate code, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities
Collaborate with Customer Support, Product Management, and Feature Teams to investigate and resolve customer-reported issues. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to implement bug fixes. Support Customer Support by providing prompt responses and live debugging in customer environments to ensure the best possible customer experience. Qualifications
5-7 years of experience in software engineering in a fast-paced, complex environment. Expertise in Python and understanding of its application in backend development. Strong experience with Linux environments, including troubleshooting and navigation. Experience designing and building scalable, secure, and reliable APIs. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively. Experience with Vue.js or similar frontend frameworks is a plus. Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and third-party integrations is desirable. Knowledge of networking and IT infrastructure is a plus. Additional Information
This role is based in the Greater Boston area. The salary range is $137,100 - $167,000 USD, dependent on experience and other factors. The role includes a target bonus, and the compensation package offers comprehensive benefits including health insurances, equity, ESPP, flexible PTO, and parental leave.
