Summary ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. • Provide
emergency/unscheduled
repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment during machine service. • Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments. • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment. • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: • High School Diploma or equivalency. • Three (3) or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with electrical systems up to 480 volts, control systems and PLC’s. • Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals. • Candidates who have completed an approved apprentice program in Electrical will be given strongest consideration. • Must be able to work any shift and weekends as necessary to support production equipment and plant needs. PHYSICAL DEMAMDS: • While performing this job the employee is required to talk and hear. • This position is very active and requires walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing (stairs and ladders). • The employee frequently lifts and/or moves items up to 50 pounds. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
