Overview:
The R&D Cloud & Information Security Manager will be part of our Research & Development Architecture and Foundational Infrastructure department, responsible for developing and integrating robust security practices across our R&D applications' deployment and runtime in the cloud. This role involves both people and technical project management. Candidates should have a strong background in implementing security practices and managing AWS and GCP using Terraform.
Responsibilities:
Leading and managing the Information Security and Core Cloud Engineering teams.
Providing knowledge and training in AWS, GCP, and Azure architecture and security patterns.
Writing and supporting Terraform for managing Infrastructure as Code and security rules.
Working with and implementing NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Collaborating with Engineers and Data Scientists to ensure cybersecurity standards are met.
Participating in an on-call rotation for team-owned services.
Requirements:
3+ years of demonstrated people leadership and project management experience.
Systematic problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and a sense of ownership and drive.
5+ years of experience in a software engineering or information security role.
Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals and administration.
3+ years of experience using Infrastructure as Code to manage AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Strong background in information security practices and principles.
Preferences:
Programming experience in Python, Node, and/or C#.
Experience with the DataDog observability platform.
