Eataly is the world’s largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace! Each Eataly location is unique, reflecting its own character and theme, but all share the same goal: to offer our guests an exceptional experience through high-quality Italian, local, and homemade products, as well as educational classes and knowledgeable staff. We are seeking a flexible and growth-oriented candidate to join our team, especially as we expand across major cities in North America. The Director of Store Operations oversees all aspects of store management, working closely with senior leadership to develop strategies that drive sales, enhance profitability, and ensure a positive environment for guests and team members. This role reports directly to the VP of Operations and manages the store’s leadership team across Restaurants, Retail, Quick Service, Culinary, and Facilities, collaborating with Marketing, Finance, and HR to meet organizational goals. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with company objectives in collaboration with senior leadership. Oversee daily store operations to ensure standards in guest service, safety, and financial performance are met. Manage labor, costs, inventory, compliance, pricing, and merchandising. Develop and control the store’s budget, implementing cost-saving measures while maintaining quality. Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate store performance and make data-driven decisions. Foster collaboration across departments and communicate regularly with store leaders on performance and initiatives. Address store-related issues as the final decision-maker. Motivate and develop team members through clear expectations and leadership by example. Partner with HR on hiring, performance reviews, and terminations. Represent the store within the community and to guests. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree 8+ years management experience in high-volume restaurant or retail environments Passion for Italian cuisine and hospitality Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical abilities Experience with Italian cuisine and wine is highly preferred The annual compensation ranges from $100,000 to $140,000.
