About the Role
As a Home Health Aide, you'll provide essential care and support to patients in their own homes. You'll assist with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
• Personal Care: Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Household Chores: Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning.
• Medication Reminders: Remind patients to take medications as prescribed.
• Vital Signs: Monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Companionship: Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
• Transportation: Assist with transportation to medical appointments or errands.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) is preferred but not always required
• Basic knowledge of healthcare procedures
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassionate and empathetic demeanor
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
