Summary / Objective The Key Account Executive is responsible for ensuring that sales volumes and profit targets are met for their territory by maximizing the value of all Daikin products. Each Key Account Executive will manage at least one major strategic Daikin account. Responsibilities include creating call reports, forecasting, budgeting, pricing, expense reporting, and activity planning. This role involves heavy travel (>40%) and requires efficient use of office days. The individual must develop multi-disciplinary, multi-level relationships within customers to achieve sales objectives and lead the development of Account Representatives and Key Account Representatives through informal mentoring.

Desired Remote Location Southeast Region (preferably Atlanta)

Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college

Minimum 10 years of plastics experience, with 5 years in fluoropolymer or fluoroelastomers business preferred, in a commercial role

Essential Functions

Prompt, regular, and dependable attendance

Manage accounts and set priorities to accomplish sales volume and pricing goals

Manage and monitor an expense budget (as determined by the National Sales Manager)

Coordinate Daikin resources at each account (technical services, marketing, management, etc.)

Forecast sales volumes and prices per account

Establish relationships at all organizational levels to meet sales goals

Provide daily updates on sales directions, new applications, competitive activities, product requirements, pricing, new products, quality issues, and customer requirements

Coordinate account performance with the credit department

Identify new opportunities within potential and existing accounts

Assist in resolving supply issues

Perform additional duties as assigned by management
