Director, Forensic Civil Engineering

to expand our testifying expert team. This role will be responsible for testifying and providing expert support on civil cases, including construction defect litigation matters. The Director is also responsible for supporting client satisfaction and employee engagement. This position supports the success of the Forensic practice area and involves proactively suggesting solutions for new challenges and opportunities within the assigned market.

The Director will oversee and develop a team of consultants, supporting hiring, placement, and career development. They will lead by modeling the company’s core values and inspiring goal achievement through empowerment, learning, and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development, Leadership, Strategic Planning

Support the MD in meeting or exceeding annual budgets, including revenue, resource utilization, and profitable engagement execution.

Assist in developing new accounts, retaining, and expanding existing engagements to meet sales goals.

Delegate assignments, monitor progress, and ensure high-quality work.

Monitor relevant data such as utilization, accounts receivable, and discretionary spending.

Build relationships with decision-makers within key accounts and cross-sell services.

Achieve individual utilization and revenue targets.

Engage in business development activities to generate additional revenue.

Identify new market segments for evaluation.

Travel as needed to support clients, employees, and leadership.

Ensure quality control and rapid resolution of operational challenges.

Operations

Lead strategic planning aligned with organizational goals.

Manage projects to ensure profitability and compliance with regulations.

Build and manage cross-functional teams.

Maintain high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical engineering, or related field.

Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferably in multiple states.

Experience in deposition and expert testimony.

Minimum 10 years of industry experience.

Proven skills in customer relationship and staff management.

Strong leadership qualities.

Knowledge & Skills

Ability to review technical work products reliably.

Leadership and organizational skills.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle complex tasks under stress.

Proficiency with standard software (Word, Excel, Adobe).
