MDM Solution Architect/ MDM Data Integration Architect
Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid Onsite) Salary: $160k-$190k on yearly basis Interview Process/# of Rounds:
4 The Solutions Architect provides the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to support the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. This role requires the ability to work with evolving requirements, competing business demands. Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determine corresponding enterprise solution designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes. Lead evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, value-streams, business requirements and enterprise standards. Understand emerging technology trends and disruptions and their practical application to enable new and evolving business and operating models. Monitor the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements. Generate technical requirements and communicate a matching solution architecture across different audiences including technical, managerial, executives and/or vendors. Ensure that applications processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with corporate architecture standards, company and technical policies and applicable standards. Collaborate with ERP teams to develop MDM integration strategies for seamless data flow between applications. Implement data quality rules, validation processes, and data harmonization strategies. Work closely with data architects, analysts, and business units to drive data-driven decision-making. Recommend and implement best-in-class tools, platforms, and methodologies for business process management and data governance. Stay up to date with emerging trends in ERP, process automation (RPA), AI-driven data management, and MDM solutions. Partner with IT security and compliance teams to ensure ERP and MDM solutions adhere to industry regulations (GDPR, SOX, etc.). Drive the adoption of data-driven insights and analytics to optimize process efficiency. MUST HAVES Proven experience as a Solutions Architect with clearly demonstrated, data-driven architecture expertise on the resume. Deep understanding of system architecture, data architecture, and data integration, including how systems and data connect across an enterprise. Hands-on experience designing and implementing end-to-end enterprise systems that span multiple business units such as Accounting, Finance, Maintenance, HR, and IT. Strong background in Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance, including the ability to develop and execute MDM and data governance strategies. Demonstrated experience working across cross-functional business domains with no requirement for specific industry experience. Ability to lead and facilitate executive-level meetings with excellent communication and presentation skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Capable of completing a technical presentation exercise, showcasing their approach to architecture, problem-solving, and communication. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related combination of education and technical experience. 10+ years in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development. ERP implementation experience preferred. Good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models. Good understanding of product management, agile principles and development methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt. Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies and roadmaps. Exceptional business acumen, leadership and communication skills, enabling them to operate credibly with senior-most operating leaders, as well as business resources. Ability to craft recommendations (based on thorough understanding of data, and its sources) that allow leadership to make data-driven decisions. Executive presence; ability to translate technology into business terms and to influence outcomes with key stakeholders. Strong familiarity with process management techniques, with the ability to establish and define processes, interrelationships, key controls and to continuously monitor and improve processes to facilitate the efficient and effective execution of business activities.
