Overview
V2X is seeking a Senior System Integration Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves supporting integration, ground, and flight testing of advanced airborne systems including avionics, communication systems, podded systems, airborne armament equipment, and other mission equipment.
Responsibilities
- Represent V2X at integration events led by the Government and prime contractor, capturing and analyzing flight test data.
- Troubleshoot system issues during test events and communicate findings to program leadership.
- Collaborate with the Indianapolis-based team to root-cause issues and support testing and integration activities.
- Support requirements development, hardware and software integration, and verification processes.
- Participate in designing, integrating, and verifying embedded hardware and software subsystems.
- Engage in continuous improvement practices using modern development processes.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance.
- Willingness to travel for on-site customer test events.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and interpreting engineering requirements.
- Knowledge of electrical interface signals such as Analog, Synchro, RS-422, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, Ethernet.
- Proven troubleshooting skills for complex avionics and weapon systems.
- Experience as a customer interface for aircraft integration events and documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to schedule or tasking changes.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with US Government airworthiness and certification processes.
- Understanding of FAA regulations and standards.
- Experience working with military branches and flight testing projects.
- Knowledge of telemetry, data acquisition, and weapons system integration.
- Leadership in technical analysis and trade studies.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related STEM field.
- At least 10 years of relevant engineering experience supporting complex systems development or integration.
