Our extensive experience, connections, and deep expertise across different sectors, industries, and transportation modes means we can be counted on for process excellence that will save time and money.Summary:FinOps Specialist is responsible for the operational execution of financial transactions and processes that directly support the company's logistics and supply chain business. This role focuses on the downstream processing of billing, purchase orders, accounts receivable/payable, and related financial and operational system workflow resolutions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.Key Responsibilities:Billing and Revenue ActualizationMaintain accurate and timely revenue rating for invoice creation.Ensure billing processes align with customer requirements (specific or generic) and support timely billing release by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.Minimize invoice cancellations by engaging with stakeholders to resolve upstream process issues and maintain billing accuracy.Regularly review and report on open orders/jobs to expedite billing creation and minimize unbilled revenue.Purchase Order (PO) and Cost ActualizationEnsure timely and accurate cost recognition for PO creation.Conduct onboarding sessions with vendors to communicate Maersk's billing requirements and ensure timely, accurate invoice submission.Monitor and measure vendor performance, sharing relevant KPIs and feedback.Accounts Payable/Receivable and Workflow ManagementCollaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues in the AP workflow, expediting payment executions.Proactively follow up on accounts receivable and payable to meet performance targets and maintain healthy cash flow.Process Improvement and AutomationIdentify and implement improvements in work processes to enhance service delivery and operational excellence.Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual interventions in AP/AR processes.Performance Monitoring and ReportingTrack and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for financial operations, ensuring adherence to global and local standards.Ensure all FinOps activities comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs).Stakeholder ManagementServe as the point of contact for customer and carrier financial issues, taking ownership of resolution.Engage with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, customers, and cross-functional teams, to ensure seamless financial operations.Vendor Relationship ManagementDevelop and maintain strong, productive relationships with vendors to ensure timely SOA reconciliation and paymentResolve disputes with vendors professionally and effectivelyValidate vendor invoices against approvals and documentation within deadlinesSupport processing of payments, including ad-hoc transactionsDeliver procurement benefits (realized savings, service level improvements) with appropriate tracking and follow-upHandle escalation processes according to established protocolsEnsure vendor master data is compliantRequired Qualifications, Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred Knowledgeable on Drayage/First Mile financials Efficiency with MS software/tools Other skills are considered important, but not requiredExperienced with Trinium software Knowledge of SAP and financial workflow systemsCompany Benefits: MedicalDentalVision401k + Company Match Employee Assistance ProgramPaid Time OffFlexible Work Schedules (when possible)And more! Pay Range: $30.00 - $33.00 * *The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.
