Position Description:
We are searching for a Systems Administrator to be part our team that is responsible for the overall coordination and control of all infrastructure systems required to keep the business operational. The Systems Administrator will focus on task-based work around the daily operations of the team. The Systems Administrator will also handle escalation of support tickets from the help desk and other infrastructure teams.
Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor health of all servers and infrastructure components; perform breakfix troubleshooting and periodic preventive maintenance.
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery processes, perform quarterly testing.
  • Deployment of server and application designs as assigned by senior engineers.
  • Provide third-tier support and training for Technical Support.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of single-source-of-truth inventory in Service Now, such as applications.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation; monitor and enforce team's maintenance of technical documentation
  • Adhere to standards and procedures
  • Track all demand in the bank's ITSM tool
  • Communicate changes to management and end-users as appropriate
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Working knowledge in at least (4) of the following disciplines:
  • Server virtualization
  • x86 server hardware
  • Basic network security principles
  • TCP/IP Networking
  • Windows server administration
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DFS structure and administration
  • Microsoft Exchange administration
  • Authentication protocols and certificate services
  • Datacenter cabling and environmental controls

It's an important role that covers many skills. This position requires:
Associates Degree, Technical School, or equivalent and three (3) years' experience performing technical coordination or support work in an Information System environment. Must hold a certification in at least one discipline (Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco or storage), or two (2) additional years' experience as a technical support analyst or network administrator may substitute for the minimum entry level certification requirement.
