Associate Director, Idaho Assistive Technology Project Position Title Associate Director, Idaho Assistive Technology Project Division/College Division/College College of Education, Health & Human Sciences Department Department Center on Disabilities & Human Development Location Posting Context Statement The Center on Disabilities and Human Development ( CDHD ) is an independent unit within the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. The CDHD is supported through a federal infrastructure grant with numerous projects funded through sponsored accounts. The CDHD improves the lives of people and their families by educating an interdisciplinary workforce, providing training and technical assistance within communities, conducting research, providing direct services, and disseminating evidence-based information. Position Overview The Associate Director (AD) for the Idaho Assistive Technology Project ( IATP ) will help deliver assistive technology services statewide to individuals with disabilities, their families, and professionals through oversight and participating in multiple grants so Idahoans can live, work, learn, and play in their communities. This position will work alongside the IATP Director to implement the Assistive Technology Act. To that end, IATP will partner with national and statewide disability agencies and programs to collaborate on federal and state disability activities, statutes, and policies. Moreover, the IATP AD will assist in maintaining relationships with the Idaho federal congressional members to provide expert information and constituent support. Finally, the AD will participate in the supervision of staff, grant writing, teaching, budgeting, conducting research, and publishing. Five years of experience as a speech/language pathologist in public education. Working with people with disabilities. Providing speech and language services. Required Education Master’s Degree in in Speech/Language Pathology Required Other Certificate/Licensures: Additional Preferred EXPERIENCE : Eight years of experience in public education and/or private practice. Collaborating with disability agencies or programs. Carrying out a federal statute. Data collection methods and procedures. IEP software.
