We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead project delivery in our Virginia market. What you’ll do: The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is a central position in the company, requiring complete technical knowledge of the construction process with a strong focus on quality, client satisfaction, and organizational leadership. The SPM manages multiple teams, including project managers, project engineers, and superintendents. Ultimately, this person is responsible for ensuring each project is completed on time, under budget, and exceeds client expectations. Why rand*? Qualified Candidates Will Possess: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience; a graduate degree is preferred. 10-12+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects as a Project Manager with a General Contractor. Ability to develop and track leads on upcoming projects with new clients. Strong relationship-building and networking skills to acquire new business. Experience collaborating with marketing to create proposals, bid packages, and pre-qualification narratives. Experience in budget creation, logistics, and constructability to ensure profitability. Ability to execute and resolve contract issues efficiently. Capacity to manage workload and capacity for multiple project teams, ensuring alignment with client requirements. Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining financial discipline, schedule adherence, and quality standards. Skills in setting project objectives and milestones, leading team meetings, and managing communication for complex issues. Experience maintaining subcontractor relations, especially for large or complex projects. Ability to enforce budgets, review financial reports, and negotiate change orders. Leadership in project close-out processes. Mentorship, training, and staff performance evaluation skills. Participation in candidate interviews, as needed. Preferred Skills: Expertise in architecture, engineering, and construction principles. Strong financial acumen. Negotiation and political skills. Ability to motivate and manage complex teams. Time management and analytical skills. Excellent communication abilities. Proficiency in project management software.
