Amazon Web Services seeks a highly motivated Solutions Architect to support the growth of our State and Local Government sector within the WWPS practice. As a Solutions Architect, you will help shape and implement strategies to expand the use of AWS services (e.g., AWS EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront) directly with customers and our partners. Your responsibilities include owning technical engagements, defining architectures, responding to RFPs, developing expertise in AWS technologies, and serving as a security subject matter expert. You will provide technical leadership, collaborate with a top-tier sales and business team, and share best practices within the AWS architect community. Conduct training sessions like Dev Days or Immersion Days to transfer knowledge. Share best practices within the AWS architect community. Contribute to AWS publications such as white papers. Serve as a technical liaison among customers, service teams, and support. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 8+ years in technology domains like software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security, networking, data & analytics. - 3+ years in application/infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting. - 10+ years of IT experience in software or internet industries. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years in infrastructure and database architecture, networking. - Knowledge of SAP systems and their architecture. - Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
