JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Physician Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Grenada, MS Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Starting 07/01/2025 Open-ended Clinical Shift Schedule: 24-hour physician coverage split into 12-hour shifts PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics Patient Volume/Census: 19,000 annual ED visits ( 52 patients/day) Admissions: Yes Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff Available: 10-hour NP/PA coverage daily Reason for Coverage: Locum physician coverage need PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Not specified REQUIRED PROCEDURES General Emergency Medicine procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Mississippi medical license required Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or FM/IM with ED experience Experience: Emergency Medicine experience preferred Other Qualifications: Must be comfortable working in a community ED with NP/PA team DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency medical care during 12-hour physician shifts (24-hour total daily coverage) Collaborate with 10-hour NP/PA support staff for daily ED operations Document all care using Epic EMR Deliver care in a flexible schedule model with rotating coverage as needed
