Searching for a multi-trade maintenance technician to join our team. In this position you will be responsible for overall facility maintenance and industrial machinery upkeep, working alone or with others. Must be a well-rounded individual who can perform efficient work on a variety of equipment, executing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance. Some basic carpentry skills are also needed for this position
Must hold a certificate or diploma in a related field.
Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program is a plus.
Experience with industrial maintenance required; corrective/breakdown experience preferred.
Thorough working knowledge of industrial equipment, its usage, and safety procedures
Self-motivated, responsible, and safety-oriented individual
Learn and apply standard tools and techniques to solve problems.
Demonstrates a positive can-do attitude.
Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently.
Must have a flexible schedule.
Must be able to pass a drug and background screening.
Facilities Maintenance Director Job Duties
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements. Equipment and tools include motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, coupling and motor alignment, roller chain/sprockets, alignment, conveyor systems, and production machines. Troubleshoots malfunctions and complies with NEC standards on wiring and installations. Ensure equipment is clean of dust, ink, etc for the next days operations.
Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hand and power tools.
Controls downtime by informing production of routine preventive maintenance.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintain facility, including but not limited to, repairing doors, light fixtures, fans, ceiling tiles, etc. Ensuring the facility is in good operating order.
