Our Nuclear Projects group is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy, we deliver safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our services include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering, and construction.

The Coatings CoPM is the first line of communication with the construction subcontractors' onsite management for the Spent Fuel Handling Project near the Naval Reactors Facility at Idaho National Lab which is approximately 55 miles from Idaho Falls. They are primarily responsible for reporting to the CPM for execution of sign subcontract. The CoPM is the first line of communication with the construction subcontractors' onsite management. They are responsible for ensuring that the project safety requirements are met and that all day-to-day construction activities for the construction subcontractors assigned to them are properly executed.

Specific duties include:

Has full knowledge of internal policies and procedures, and expedites processes internally, as well as externally. Responsible for reviewing and forecasting associated with the subcontractor budget and schedule performance. Prepares monthly Estimate at Complete data and coordinates with the CPM on Estimate at Complete budgets (and may attend the meetings to discuss the issues)

Processes all formal technical transmittals to and from the subcontractors. Reports, schedules, shop drawings and material submittals, payment applications, requests for information, requests for change proposals, change orders, and quality and safety deficiency reports are logged and expedited by the CoPM, with the assistance of the construction, engineering, quality, procurement and document control groups within the organization

Conducts construction coordination and progress meetings with all subcontractors on site. Working with construction and/or procurement administrative staff, issues agendas and minutes of meetings of construction coordination meetings

Reviews and approves site logistics coordination (such as access, parking, utilities) in coordination with the SM and CM

Reviews subcontractors required daily, weekly, and monthly reports for completeness and accuracy

Fosters and supports team goals for their subcontractors, representing the first line of communication in dispute management and resolution

Acts as the single point of contact for subcontractor project management with regards to the subcontract for which they are assigned

Coordinates daily work schedules and attends daily pre-shift briefs and/or "Plan of the Day" meetings, as necessary

Ensures daily work logs of ongoing construction activities are maintained

Ensures TCRs, RFIs, and NCRs are managed to closure by working closely with engineering and quality functional groups

Provides initial review and approval for subcontractor pay applications. Forwards to the CMP for approval

Coordinates approval of subcontractor work execution documents such as hot work permits, LOTO, confined space entry authorizations, etc. All tie-in to existing NRF plant utilities will be coordinated through the assigned ER STR

Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility in managing industrial construction projects with increasing level of authority. Experience in managing the implementation of construction contracts requirements

Must have a strong understanding of paintings and coating systems. Coating system applications include, concrete floor coating systems, trench coating systems, steel plate coating, and steel trench covers

Must be able to show proof of US Citizenship (to comply with government customer requirements and/or applicable government regulations)

Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and within the client organization

Demonstrate a positive attitude under stressful conditions and strive for setting goals for relationship to build a cohesive team

Experience in assessing complex issues and summarizing in concise and clear communications to team and client through reporting and verbal presentations

Experience in multi-discipline construction projects

Demonstrated experience in cross coordination and integration across package managers/Control Account Managers and multiple construction contractors

Understanding of CPM- Critical Path method of scheduling

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

Working knowledge of ASME NQA-1 program preferred

DOE Experience

Bachelors degree or higher in an Engineering discipline and/or Construction Management highly preferred

Large DOE nuclear projects

Experience in EPCM contracts management preferred

Potential travel to other offices across the U.S. 2-3 times/year

Weather factors such as wind and extreme cold

On-Site Security training is mandatory before performing project duties.

Timely response to resolve issues is expected.
