Position Description:
The Quality Assurance Inspector (QA Inspector) performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests of RF, Microwave, and Millimeter Wave electronics products and supplies to determine if received active, passive and interconnect products and in-house built cable assemblies conform to stated requirements. The QA Inspector records data takes appropriate pictures and maintains completed records of inspections. The QA Inspector also assists Quality Engineering and Product Management with investigations into part discrepancies. The QA Inspector is familiar with standard inspection concepts, practices, and procedures and the use of calibrated measuring and test equipment ranging from handheld tools to sophisticated electronic analyzers.
General Duties and Responsibilities: Perform inspections and tests by competently using mechanical and electronic measuring and test equipment requiring moderate to complex setups, constant monitoring, and close visual inspection of the process. Perform inspections and tests by competently interpreting drawings, specifications and work instructions. Identify and document results of inspections and tests and maintain records. Identify problems, recommend solutions and withhold items that do not meet quality standards. Other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with inspection and testing of RF, Microwave, and Millimeter Wave electronics products. Experience using mechanical and electronic measuring and test equipment including Vector Network Analyzers. Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and procedures. Excellent vision (maybe with corrective lenses) Excellent planning, analytical and organizational skills. Strong PC systems and software application skills (Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.). Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks with various deadlines. Highly motivated, energetic with strong interpersonal skills. Works well in a team setting. Maintains a clean, safe, and unobstructed work area. Personal Traits and Characteristics:
