We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cost Accounting Manager to join our vibrant Manufacturing team. This position is an integral part of the department, playing a pivotal role in the financial planning and decision-making process of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive analyses of our raw materials, inventory, operations, cycle count, finished goods, and work-in-progress.
This role requires a strong understanding of financial reports, budgeting, forecasting, and partnerships amongst internal teams, such as engineering. Proficiency in MAPICS is preferred but not required. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with an innovative team, where your work will have a direct impact on the company's financial health and success.
This role is a succession planning position for the CFO, so it's important that someone is looking to continue growing in their career! This role is on-site working with an amazing team!

Responsibilities
* Overseeing and managing the daily operations of the accounting department, including raw materials, inventory, cycle count, finished goods, and work-in-progress. * Conducting routine and ad hoc inventory audits to ensure accuracy. * Preparing and analyzing cost reports and correlating them with the company's financial plan. * Developing and maintaining the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization. * Assisting in the improvement of internal controls related to inventory and fixed assets. * Analyzing and recommending costs and cost savings. * Preparing detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory, liability accounts. * Reviewing and analyzing inventory and margin reports, conducting research, and performing analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability. * Supporting and assisting internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules, and others. * Ensuring timely submission, accuracy, and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment. * Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly desirable. * Strong proficiency in MAPICS is preferred * In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). * High level of proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. * Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to present financial data in a concise and easily understandable manner. * Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees. * Superior problem-solving skills and ability to manage resources effectively. * High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
