A bit about us:

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and experienced Program Officer to join our Philanthropy team. This role involves working closely with our philanthropic partners to develop, manage, and evaluate programs that maximize social impact. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of philanthropy, program management, grantmaking. Your role will be to provide our clients with innovative, thoughtful, and high-impact solutions to their philanthropic challenges and ambitions.

This position is Tuesday-Friday and typically works from 36-40 hours/week! Even during the consulting period, you will still receive AMAZING benefits, sick time and 401K! This is truly a temporary to hire opportunity and we are seeking the right long term fit!

Responsibilities:

As a Program Officer, you will:

1. Develop and implement strategic philanthropic programs that align with our mission and goals. This includes identifying opportunities, developing proposals, and managing grants. 2. Provide expert advice and guidance to our clients on philanthropic strategies, trends, and best practices. 3. Evaluate the effectiveness of our philanthropic programs, using data and metrics to inform decision-making and improve outcomes. 4. Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients, grantees, and partners in the philanthropic sector. 5. Represent our organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings, promoting our work and seeking opportunities for collaboration. 6. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and integration of philanthropic programs with other organizational initiatives. 7. Stay abreast of trends and developments in the philanthropic sector, using this knowledge to inform our work and advise our clients.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a program officer in the philanthropic sector, with a focus on strategic planning, grant-making, and program development. 2. Proven experience in philanthropic consulting, with a strong track record of developing and implementing successful philanthropic programs. 3. Deep knowledge of the nonprofit sector, including trends, challenges, and opportunities. 4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to inform decision-making and improve outcomes. 5. Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. 6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively articulate complex ideas and strategies. 7. A commitment to social change and a passion for our mission. 8. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
