Provide support to the Project Manager in the development and delivery of environmental or infra-structure engineering projects.
Responsibilities: Prepare engineering reports, plans, specifications, and other contract documents for the design, permitting, and execution of water resource engineering projects, particularly in the conveyance and treatment of wastewater and solid waste landfill leachate. Interact with clients, contractors, and stakeholders on project sites to ensure effective communication and project progress. Conduct engineering calculations and design analysis for municipal infrastructure systems including stormwater, wastewater, and water system conveyance facilities. Prepare project plans, bid specifications, quantity takeoffs, and develop opinions of probable construction costs. Design improvements to wastewater treatment facilities to comply with environmental regulations. Support construction documentation, permitting, and project management activities as required.
Commute to client (project) sites within 2-hour driving distance approximately three or four days/month. May also include some short-term travel up to two to four weeks/year.
Salary Range: $67,000-$77,000
Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering. Certificate: EIT (Engineer-in-Training) Certificate or foreign equivalent. Skills:
Significant coursework in water resources engineering. Strong proficiency using EPAs SWMM, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD. Strong working knowledge of watershed, stormwater, and wastewater de-sign and management, and GIS and Remote Sensing.
