In your role as

Azure Platform Engineer

, you will help and guide the build of (network) solutions to enhance the availability, performance, and stability of the Azure platform. As a Platform Engineer, you will need to balance service reliability, platform development, and delivery speed. You will help guide a team of skilled Cloud Engineers in building software delivery pipelines, deploying and monitoring services, responding to alerts & notifications, and learning from incidents.

This role is part of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). The Team's vision is to provide a flexible and reliable automated cloud platform to enable accelerated and sustainable adoption of cloud across ASML and maximize the ability to realize its benefits while reducing risks, supporting ASML's growth, and bringing innovative cloud solutions to the teams.

Responsibilities

Develop solutions using modern programming (scripting) language for automation of build tasks (PowerShell, arm/bicep, YAML, terraform, and/or C# would be a plus)

Build and deploy resources using Infrastructure-as-Code

Develop solutions using Azure DevOps

Operations task, using cloud native tools, like Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, and Azure Security Center, or other monitoring tooling

Deliver/update documentation (e.g., product descriptions, operational tasks) on CCoE wiki

Be part of a multidisciplinary DevOps team that takes ownership of both new development and operational activities

Help and support internal customers who have onboarded to your environment

Make sure that the internal customer is and stays secure when onboarded to your environment

Implement tasks related to network platform operations

Requirements

7+ years of experience with Azure DevOps for automated deployments and working with Azure cloud native tooling

7+ years of experience configuring and using IaaS (like Virtual Machines)

7+ years of experience configuring and using PaaS (like WebApp, Database services, Kubernetes, Data Lake, Databricks, etc.)

Familiarity with networking principles and protocols such as IP subnetting, Network Security Groups, routing, Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, load balancer, DNS, etc

Understand the concepts of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to maximize automation, reduce waste, increase scale, and apply systemic thinking

Ability to express ideas effectively in individual and group situations (including non-verbal communication), adjusting language or terminology to the characteristics and needs of the audience

Ability to listen effectively to others and give constructive feedback

Able to execute a task in a good manner and with good results, with limited supervision

For onsite (San Jose) candidates: hybrid. Minimum of 2 days a week at the office, with flexibility to come more days if events or workload require it

This posting includes a good faith range of the salary EPAM would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. The range provided reflects base salary only.
