Company Mission To be the world’s leading manufacturer of complex food ingredients, specializing in the industrial supply of custom developed food solutions for the world’s leading retail food, foodservice and healthcare product manufacturers.
Job Responsibilities: Accurately move, split, and report as finished batches and raw materials in the ERP system.
Audit ERP locations (processes) for material discrepancies and ensure real time accuracy.
Scan materials into a work order according to the formula and properly label them.
Release and start work orders in the ERP system to ensure adherence to the production schedule.
Print Packaging sheets and provide other necessary documentation to the operators.
Troubleshoot material staging issues and ensure that proper warehouse work is generated upon release of work orders.
Label and prepare all RTS material properly. Complete RTS transfers on the ERP system.
Coordinate with warehouse to ensure that RTS are put away in a timely manner.
Report as finished work orders after their completion.
Review consumption locations and perform proper waste/favorability journals to ensure inventory accuracy.
Ensure all pallet tags are accurate prior to releasing to material
handlers/operators.
Change inventory status on materials in consumption locations to ensure inventory accuracy.
Perform material counts to ensure enough materials for scheduled production runs.
Coordinate with Warehouse to request packaging materials necessary for production runs.
Verify packaging pallet patterns.
Communicate with operations and quality personnel regarding issues that need attention such as material shortages.
Promote safety in the work area by assisting others and keeping aisles clear and the work area free of debris.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required
Experience in a warehouse facility required; food manufacturing warehouse facility a plus
Inventory Control experience required
Can read, write and speak English proficiently
Attendance Requirements: The Packaging Inventory Technician position is a skilled position that requires regular and predictable attendance in order to ensure customer needs are consistently met. In order to be successful and remain in this role, employees must maintain attendance points below eight (8) at all times. Anyone in this role who reaches eight (8) or more attendance points will be removed from the position and placed in a non-skilled role at the applicable rate of pay for that role.
