About this role:

WM Data Solutions is seeking a world - class Lead Software Engineer to design and develop Security Operations platform components supporting wholesale securities processing requirements. This role requires very strong technical knowledge of Java and a solid foundation of server design methodologies. Must be able to write highly functional and performance code in a structured manner. They would design, develop and support wholesale securities processing platform capabilities, functions, and processes, while ensuring use of the agreed technology/tools and interfaces to ensure smooth integration and platform availability across DEV, SIT, UAT and Production. They will work closely with the business analysts to review requirements to ensure appropriate level of detail is provide to the tech team and establish and document best practices around design, development, and deployment. The ideal candidate will have experience creating relevant SDLC documentation/deliverables as part of standard project implementations (architecture & design documents, deployment diagrams, source code, scripts, any necessary documentation, etc.)

In this role, you will:

Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines

Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs

Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

4+ years of experience with Kafka, MQ and JSON

4+ years of experience in CI/CD pipeline and automated unit test cases

2+ years of experience in Python, Core Java, Spring/Spring boot, relational database (preferably Oracle / SQL Server), NoSQL Postgres and MongoDB, Object-Oriented Design (OOD)

Desired Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of Investment banking / Wealth Management domain

Lead complex initiatives on selected domains to achieve business objectives

Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk

Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost

Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies

Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature

Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives

Mentor less experienced software engineers and Sr. Engineers in the team

Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers

Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively

NC- Charlotte Pay Range: $119,000 - $187,000 Annually

MO- St. Louis Pay Range: $119,000 - $187,000 Annually

NJ- Iselin Pay Range: $143,000 - $224,000 Annually
