Job Description:The RoleAs a Business Analyst Consultant on the Annuity & Term Data Processing & Calculations team within the Core Wealth Platform Product Area, you will support multiple squad initiatives aimed at growing our core business and scaling our technology. You are a digitally savvy strategic thinker with a passion for delivering amazing customer experiences and building latest technology solutions. In this role, you will focus on building and enhancing the business systems that allow Fidelity associates to service customers with ease and to provide data that allows customers to self-service when desired. This includes a shared responsibility to support the configuration and administration of the ARK recordkeeping system as well as the data publishing. You will also play a critical role to support the Financial Reporting Database (FRDB) used primarily by the actuarial team in FILI.The Expertise and Skills You BringBachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of experienceOutstanding analytical skills, with the ability to analyze current business and technical processes, triage issues, find opportunities for efficiency and enhance applications and tools based on insights, solutions, and requirements.Consistent track record of strategic planning, defining, and writing requirements, testing/learning, iterating on, and delivering best in class technical solutions. Conducting business acceptance and validation testing and to leading the team through various stages of the release cycle.Experience in managing large scale technical programs and projects with multiple streams of deliverables, resolving challenges, mitigating risks, and working through dependencies while collaborating with internal partners to ensure milestones are met.Working knowledge on SQL, to perform basic querying and analyzing data (e.g., Oracle, Postgres, Snowflake).Experience writing queries to investigate data.Experience identifying and working with data to analyze, find opportunities, drive fact-based decision making, and measuring results.Knowledge and understanding of reporting and dashboard tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau.)Conducting business acceptance and validation testing and to leading the team through various stages of the release cycle. Ability to think strategically about the end-to-end process and how platform updates may impact the Squad and the business.Experience working with a full stack technical infrastructure with the ability to map dependencies and integrations. Strong execution background with the ability to multi-task and prioritize for efficiency and business need.Proficiency with business process documentationAbility to deal with ambiguity and uncertain, with technologies you may have never worked with previously and gather the data and information to get to the root of an issue to resolve.Effectively translate business needs into technical requirements for developers and designers.Ability to break a Jira story down into small components, understand the underlying purpose and be able to test.Ability to identify application and system issues, enhancements, and requests by researching platform specifications, conferring with subject matter experts across the Enterprise.The TeamYou will be a member of the Core Wealth Platform Product Area. Your primary focus will be supporting the platform health, growth, scale and modernization efforts of the platform, application and systems supporting the Fidelity Insurance Agency. In this role you will partner with a variety of key stakeholders including other Teams withing the Platform Area, Wealth Digital Experience, Fidelity Insurance Agency (FIA), Fidelity Insurance Group (FIG), and Brokerage and enterprise partners.Certifications:Category:Product ManagementFidelity’s hybrid working model blends the best of both onsite and offsite work experiences.
