Position Overview
The Teller/Customer Service Representative is a dual-role position that supports both in-person customer service at our Commerce, Georgia branch and serving clients electronically and via telephone as a part of our First Call Team. This individual plays a critical role in providing high-quality service to clients by processing routine transactions, opening accounts, and assisting with online banking requests.
This is not a sales-based role, there are no monthly sales goals or quotas to meet. Instead, success in this position is measured by the quality of service, attention to detail, and ability to build lasting customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Banking Support Assist customers in-person and over the phone with account inquiries, transactions, and support. Open and maintain deposit accounts (DDA, savings, CDs, IRAs), and recommend appropriate services based on client needs without pressure to meet sales targets. Provide ongoing support and process requests for online banking services. Process and verify customer-initiated transfers and wire payments as needed Coordinate with Jack Henry Support and other vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system-related concerns. Greet customers by name and with a smile; thank them for the opportunity to serve. Support safe deposit box operations. Be knowledgeable about features, advantages and benefits of bank loan products, and deposit products. Assess customer needs and provide tailored recommendations to ensure customer satisfaction. Digital & First Call Team Support
Respond to secure messages, online applications, and digital service requests. Serve as back-up to the First Call Team as needed to support remote banking clients. Monitoring & Compliance
Run daily Q2 audit, ACH, and Planet Press reports to identify and act on unusual activity. Research and respond to fraud alerts. Complete weekly Rate Watch tasks. Research & Administrative Processing
Research dormant accounts and take appropriate action. Place debit card orders and perform account maintenance. Handle Social Security verification requests and assist with fraud investigations. Prepaid Client Support
Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) checks and assist with due diligence. Verify and scan client packets. Support prepaid customer inquiries and connect clients with the appropriate program manager. Assist with prepaid projects including mailings, address verification, and check reissuance. Additional Duties
Perform other tasks and administrative responsibilities as assigned to support customers and the branch team. Adhere to all security policies and compliance regulations. Qualifications
