First-time travelers are welcome. Weekend requirement is a minimum of every other or 8 weekend shifts. Description: Candidates must have full labor and delivery experience and postpartum care. Must be comfortable floating within the scope to meet facility needs. Care for healthy to acutely ill childbearing individuals, including high-risk cases, as well as their neonates. Assist with high-risk deliveries and postpartum care. Perform assessments and interventions including monitoring and administration of medications. Engage in discharge teaching to parents concerning newborn care. Support breastfeeding and lactation education. Maintain accurate patient records using the specified charting system. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Follow established protocols for maternal and neonatal health. Participate in emergency procedures as necessary while managing obstetrical patients.
