Overview
We're seeking a highly capable Data Engineer to play a key role in maintaining and expanding a modern data environment that powers multiple business lines within our organization. This individual will serve as a critical bridge between raw data and business intelligence ensuring the systems, pipelines, and structures behind our reporting are accurate, reliable, and scalable.
This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate with data analysts, operational leaders, and various cross-functional teams to ensure our data infrastructure supports strategic decision-making across the company.
What You'll Do
- Build & Maintain Pipelines: Develop and optimize end-to-end data workflows, leveraging APIs and secure protocols such as SFTP for ingesting data from diverse internal and external systems.
- Data Transformation: Reformat unstructured data into clean, usable datasets that align with business analysis needs.
- Data Infrastructure: Architect and refine scalable data storage systems, such as cloud data warehouses, that can support growth and increased complexity.
- Data Quality Assurance: Regularly test and validate data flows to ensure consistency, reliability, and integrity across all outputs.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner closely with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into efficient data structures and processes.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Proactively identify data issues and conduct in-depth testing to troubleshoot and resolve system errors.
- Visualization & Reporting Support: Assist the analytics team by preparing foundational data structures that power dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc insights.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL , with experience manipulating JSON-formatted data.
- Hands-on expertise with Snowflake and AWS-based data environments.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling ETL workflows to support business operations and analytics.
- Effective communicator who can convey technical concepts in a way that resonates with business teams and non-technical audiences.
- Thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative setting , juggling multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a similar data-focused role.
- Problem-Solving: Must be able to navigate non-standardized challenges using sound judgment and logic.
- Math Proficiency: Comfort working with percentages, ratios, and interpreting data visuals such as graphs.
- Language & Communication: Strong reading and writing capabilities required. Must be comfortable drafting written reports and speaking clearly and professionally in team meetings.
